Emblematic of the Water Sign that they are, Pisceans tend to go with the flow when traveling, never making waves. Consequently, there must be someone else leading the way or else the Fish will never get there! When they do awaken, their focus is on seeing how they can be of service to others. It's this quality which takes the traveling Fish to the heart of Africa or the streets of Iran. The Fish see no need to set the agenda when on the road, preferring to leave practical matters and budgetary concerns to their traveling companions. Dreamy as they are, it's essential that someone else create the structure. What the Fish care about most is that their spirit is being soothed and that they're being useful in the world. To that end, meditative treks to India or Tibet are just the ticket.

Artistic as well, Pisceans would adore the opportunity to work with potters in Mexico or to play music in the Andes of Peru. Finally, these folks love to be near water -- would Fish crave anything else? This makes them a natural for swimming, diving or sailboat excursions, the latter ideally suited to their penchant for daydreaming (someone else will be trimming those sails!).

Pisces Destinations

Compassionate, charitable Fish want to go where they're needed the most. Third-world countries are a natural for these folks, as is anywhere else where their love and understanding will come in handy. Being a roving ambassador for the Red Cross or World Health Organization would suit these folks to a T! Travel with a purpose, such as feeding the hungry in Sudan, is what the Fish are all about.

While making a political statement on the road is okay, too, the Fish are really about being sympathetic to others and helping them in any way they can. It's always a Piscean who will pick up a hitchhiker, perhaps a kindred spirit who sees the world like they do. Any destination with interesting culture, arts and crafts is also bound to attract the attention of the artistic Fish. Lastly, traveling Fish need to be mindful of their feet, the part of the body ruled by Pisces. Sensible shoes are a must when hitting the road.

Pisces Travel Activities

Helping others is the number one goal for traveling Fish. They won't make a big deal out of their altruism, either, since they tend to be shy and quiet.

Reaching out to others and lending a helping hand is a Piscean's greatest joy while traveling, so you can bet that these folks will spend a lot of time engaging locals wherever they're at. And chances are they'll be somewhere where someone needs their help.

There will be times, though, when the Fish simply want to sit back, relax and contemplate their navels (or their gills). This can take the form of reading a book, meditating, painting or playing lyrical music. These gentle souls also have a bit of the romantic in them, so a quiet dinner-a-deux is a nice addition to any trip.

Pisces and Dining

Food isn't a big deal to the fluid Fish, since they go with the flow so easily. Whether it's burgers at a fast food joint or fresh fish from the Pacific, their tummies will be perfectly happy. Traveling into uncharted territory as often as they do, Pisceans never quite know what they're going to be getting at meal time. Their imaginative and creative nature allows them to make a feast out of fairly little. Since there's usually someone else managing the purse strings, the dreamy Fish won't have to worry about what they can afford. Some days it'll be a three-star meal and others not, but whatever the case, they'll be just fine.

Pisces and Lodging

"Beggars can't be choosers," the timid Fish might say when it comes time to find their lodgings. Although they're not likely to be paupers, they might be starting to think like one. Such is the beauty of this self-sacrificing soul. Truth be told, though, these folks can stay and sleep anywhere, anytime; they're quite comfortable with the notion of being less than comfortable. A lumpy mattress would go virtually unnoticed (the Fish would be too engrossed in their dreams!) while a leaky tent would simply provide the pleasure of a few drops of water. Ah, the bliss of being the fluid Fish!
