This photograph was taken along the Gulf of Mexico at Honeymoon Island in Florida, a rather isolated and sparsely populated area near Clearwater Beach. The persistence of time is represented to me in several ways, including the death of the tree, frozen in time, along with the continued breaking of the Gulf's waves.
